Self-acceptance
Lubitel; Hasselblad 501cm - 80mm f2.8
"self-acceptance" is a photographic project born from a recent personal experience; It is a work in therapy, who had precisely aimed the acceptance of my reflection in the mirror. I collected all these photos in a diary, in which I wrote my thoughts and the level of discomfort I felt, looking at me (which I managed to bring down more and more). I'm interested to see how photography has been for me a means of healing. My eating disorder is now a closed chapter, but I decided to document it years later because it is and will be part of my personal training, helped me to grow and to be more sure of myself. Who knows, maybe this project will be helpful to those who, like me, have problems to love him/herself.
